This restaurant has a reputation of beign very classy, traditionell and having served the great artists of Finnish cultural scene. The food and atmosphere are praised from one decade to the next. And you know what? With all that, my expectations were very high and they managed to exceed them.

The place is beautiful and I especially loved the stylish counter by the entrance. My lunch choice was the most famous course of this place: Tauno Palo´s onion steak. Delicious. On top of all that, the service was top notch. If I made movies, I´d make sure I had a restaurant scene in this place.

Second hand boutique focusing on quality brands for grown up women. Huge selection of bags, belts and shoes. Good lights and exceptionally well categoriced. Ranges from smart every-day-wear to fancy party clothes. Plenty of ruffles and femininity here.

This small shop is located in the eastern part of the city center, a short tram ride away. Focus is on retro fashions for young people and jewelry. Easy to afford prices for a second hand shop that is not a flea market or charity shop. If loud prints and polyester from the 60-70´s rock your wardrobe, shop here.

A well-stocked second hand boutique, slightly off the city centre, but easy to reach by tram. Plenty of accessories and glamorous party wear. Usually reasonably priced for a boutique, even has the occasional sales bin. Good service! I´ve bought necklaces, brooches, bags, silk scarves and hats from this shop. All nice quality pieces.

A small second hand boutique in the city center. Always stocked from floor to ceiling with quality pieces, especially for mature women looking for classics. The alligator bags and furs set the standards in this place. Occasionally featured in fashion magazines as a source for second hand fashion items used in photoshoots.

The number one vintage boutique in Helsinki. Rare finds and big price tags, but so worth the visit. Top hats, feathers, sequins and rhinestones. This shop is often featured in Finnish fashion magazines as the source of special items in photoshoots. Ranges from fashionable retro stuff to delicate antiques.

Retro style second hand shopping. Small basic selection of dresses and t-shirts, some Hawaii-styles.

Street Tallers, just off La Rambla: Easy to find shopping street that has more of a underground fashion feel. Some good basic second hand shops as well, like Holala Ibiza´s another shop (plenty of menswear) and Retro City (got a cotton dress for 15e and leather handbag for 15e). This Holala Ibiza shop had more space and a large variety, including tutus and some army surplus stuff, too. A really nice atmosphere with bright lights and strong colors. The prices were a bit higher than on their other shop on Riera Baixa.

Some good basic second hand shops as well, like Holala Ibiza´s another shop (plenty of menswear) and Retro City (got a cotton dress for 15e and leather handbag for 15e). Retro City is quite a narrow shop and takes some time to dig through, but you might find some gems with reasonable prices. Accessories were especially interesting.

Glamour girl´s paradise, even posher and more wonderful than the other Le Swing on Riera Baixa 13. Boutique prices, partly designer names such as Chanel, great staff, a true treasure trove as each piece is the real thing, magnificent gowns and accessories to die for such as headpieces with veils and feathers and snake skin handbags all displayed beautifully. I got a necklace for 39e and handbag for 49e.
