Rhythm Factory - Whitechapel
16-18 Whitechapel Road, Whitechapel, London E1 1EW
02-10-2007
(atualizado em 28-11-2007)
The Rhythm Factory is an exception to the London Club scene,it's relaxed and buzzing with an energetic atmosphere, everyone is always welcome and wanted! The Rhythm Factory entrance is a lively front bar/coffee shop and restaurant with comfortable sofas and walls adorned with funky art and photographic works.
The back two rooms are home to the music which is live and kicking. The drum and base nights are excellent as is the monthly night held there called breaking bread for all true hip hop goings on. Each night is different music but always the best London has to offer from unsigned artists and acts.
Never a bad night always a memorable one makes the Rythum Factory my favorite!!!
Portobello Road Market - Notting Hill
288 Portobello Road, London W10 5TD
11-11-2007
A lovely market to come and browse with Friday afternoon being the best time.
Lots of boutique style goods sold on unique stalls as well as the usuals like leather jackets, belts and jewelery.
Situated in a good spot so you can also browse the shops as well as the market stalls, the market isn’t to big so a few hours is usually enough.
Nearest tube Ladbroke Grove
Vue Cinemas - Swiss Cottage
02 Centre,225 Finchley Road, London NW3 6LU
11-11-2007
Vue cinema has a good timetable of daily showings all through out the week non stop, the chairs are comfortable and the confectionary not to over priced. Also if you have an orange phone you can get 2 for 1 on Wednesday night viewings.
Selfridges London - Mayfair
400 Oxford Street, Marylebone, London W1A 2LR
11-11-2007
Selfridge's is i believe is the best department store in London, from high street to designer, you can get almost anything in almost any brand.
The handbags section and make up floor is amazing and can suck you in for hours, there is also a hair salon and full beauty therapy treatments on offer!
The food hall is brilliant stacked with all gourmet, rare and imported goods. Anything you had overseas Selfridge's will stock.
There are plenty of cafe's, wine bar's and full serving restaurants to keep you from having to stray from the shop, perfect for spending the day in!
The Aquarium - Farringdon
63 Farringdon Road, London EC1M 3JB
08-11-2007
The Aquarium is actually 2 venues one being a small pub the other the club which is great, huge open dance floors play a range of mad 80's music, there is also a swimming pool within one of the rooms which is quite a novelty to be used on a night out.
Fun, wacky crowd usually dressed up in 80's gear and in character make this a fun place for a night out with a twist, be sure to get in the mood at their pub just opposite before giving in to the madness!
The Foundry - Shoreditch
84-86 Great Eastern Street, Old Street, London EC2A 3HY
08-11-2007
Really cool open bar serving basic drinks with an outside area which is actually the street give this small bar a cool vibe, as does the completely graffitied walls of the toilets.
No live music but sounds pumping out make this an ideal pit stop before going on to clubs within the east end.
Metropolis - Shoreditch
234 Cambridge Hth Road, London E2 9NN
08-11-2007
Metropolis has to be the best themed pole dancing club within London, set over 3 floors each with a full working bar and tacky but lovable decoration make Metropolis stand out. The first floor with a 2 pole stage has a constant turn over of beautiful girls dancing till close, Zebra carpet runs up to the second floor where shower shows take place within a purple glittery car! The third floor open to VIP is themed like a beach, with real sand, casino tables and a full working bar.
Oasis Sports centre - West End
32 Endell Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9AG
08-11-2007
Oasis sports club is a great sports center, there are plenty of classes to attend without having to be a member and there is tennis courts, a gym, studio(has a capoiera class every tue evening which is brilliant) 2 pools(one being an outside heated pool) and a small vendor serving light snacks and drinks.
Never to busy but just right make oasis a great place for a whole range of activities within central London, all reasonably priced make it affordable to do a few activities in an evening.
Carnaby Street - Soho
London W1 2BH
08-11-2007
Carnaby Street is a lovely little paved shopping street with alleys turning of to more shops here and there, great for looking for more individual or stylish clothes.
Great range of shops especially the ones catered to just t-shirts and trainers! Great for people who don't follow the crowd.
2 mins walk from Oxford street tube make it very central with easy access, or if you wanna get away from the main high street and chill out with a coffee this is a nice spot to do so!
Spitalfields Market - City of London
65 Old Spitalfields Market, brick lane, London E1 6EW
08-11-2007
Spittlefields market has to be one of the best in London, stalls sell everything from jewelry, pictures, clothes and weird and wonderful gifts and be sure not to miss the excellent selection of old fashioned sweets!
After a hard days shopping which i suggest you start early as by mid afternoon it becomes hard to move from stall to stall its time to fill up on scrumptious food of all cultures.
Aim to spend a good half a day here if not more, buzzing atmosphere and plenty of goodies to purchase make this a lovely day out.
