Die Linde ist meine Lieblingsplatz in Heidelberg. Die Einrichtung ist unglaublich gemuetlich und auch die Kueche ist grossartig. Ich freue mich besonders auf das Fruehjahr, wenn der schoene Biergarten wieder geoeffnet ist.

Es ist auch einer der gemuetlichsten Cafes in der Morgen, mit sehr leckere Cappuccino für nur 1,50€. Die Einrichtung ist ein bisschen wie die Studentencafes in die Universitaet.

Very nice coffeeshop in the morning (ok, not before 10am), great cappucino for 1,50 €.

Still one of Germany’s best restaurants. There might be a controversy whether Jean-Claude Bourgeuil is using glutamate, but don’t bother, the taste still is excellent!

Everything is perfect, but the old house is very narrow and loud.

The old village inn of Duisburg-Walsum is a very special place: Located between the idyllic Rheinaue wetlands and the largest coal power plant of Duisburg, in the shadow of a still growing, gigantic cooling tower. The Langhoff family runs this place for 170 years, and they are doing very well.

You’ll get a very, very wide choice of fish dishes, and those I tried have all been superb.

But, despite to its remote location, the Walsumer Hof is no insider tip. You should make your reservation about six (!) months in advance. Or just try your luck and hope that someone forgot about his reservation.

Not only the best Brauhaus in Krefeld, but at the whole lower Rhine.

The beer is great, you get not only Alt (they call it misleadingly “lager”, but it actually is Altbier, the best I know, and I know them all), you get also “Weizen” and “Hell” (it tastes like a very good Koelsch).

It is the most beautiful Brauhaus I know, very authentic, and, very typically for Krefeld, there hardly any tourists.

The kitchen is good. If you are bold, try the “Mott Anton”, fried black pudding with apple sauce, onions and meshed potatoes. In Cologne they call it “Heaven and Earth”, but this is better.

Great restaurant, exquisit cuisine. The ambiance and the service is maybe a little bit too cool.

You don’t believe what a nice restaurant can be found in the not so beautiful downtown of Duisburg. Located in an ugly building matching to Duisburg, there is an very fancy interior.

It is mostly run by mentally handicapped people, who do a very good and professional service.The meals are excellent and remarkably unexpensive, it is a pity that the opening time is only daytime.
