Hammersmith has long been an established centre for the Polish community based in London. This is a really big centre and offers members and non members a huge vareity of facilities ranging from dances,plays,cabarets and polish cinema.There is a library service and a really high quality restaurant as well.

This is a nice quiet little place to eat. Its tucked away from the rush on Picaddilly and Regent Street and there is masses of room to sit upstairs and enjoy a delicious sandwich with a hot soup. There are also pies and pasties to choose from but you have to be quick because they go really quick.

I quite like this little place along Euston Road because they have a lot of dishes I like to eat. Its mainly vegetarian and for 5.50 you have a great choice-ranging from pa thai noodle,thai curry rice soya chicken and some interesting salads.
A takeaway box which you can make up yourself costs around 3.00 The service is not freindly or too unfriendly its bearable.

Now that we are approaching that time of the year when I have to start thinking of presents-I think that liquers and vintage wines make good presents.This particular branch has many inexpensive ideas which I think look nice and can be consumed on the day.All their bottles come gift boxed- I think that the Champagne bottles are worth it. The cheapest one starting at 12.50.
