Candy Cakes - Covent Garden
36 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9HB
17-12-2008
The cakes taste and look very good but I was surprised at how much they cost! The shops look fantastic both on the inside and the outside and they have just the kind of quaint quality one looks for in a cake place, so I would definitely recommend a visit.
Urban Outfitters - Covent Garden
42-56 Earlham Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9LA

Urban Outfitters is a great shop where you can find a whole range of clothes to suit a variety of tastes. You can buy some really pretty jewellery, dresses and skirts etc but I find that some of the products are not worth high prices sometimes charged. They have really good sale sections where you can buy items very cheaply, for example I bought some moccasin slip-ons for £10 that originally cost £40. This shop in Covent Garden has a good range of clothes for men and women but I was quite disappointed with the recent changes to the second floor because they changed the sale section which now is not as big and does not have as wide a variety of items to choose from.
Snog Frozen Yoghurt - South Kensington
32 Thurloe Place, South Kensington, London SW7 2HQ
10-12-2008
great for a low-fat low-calorie and basically low-everything snack, but it’s quite pricey for a small pot of yoghurt that has quite a weird after taste. I guess that if you add fruit etc it would taste nicer, but i wasn’t such a huge fan went I went the first time. The actual interior is pretty cool though, I must admit.
Cyber Candy - Covent Garden
3 Garrick Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9BF

This is a great shop in Covent Garden which sells looads of different sweets from different countries like China and America. They also have a wide variety of the old favourite Jelly Beans and a selection of chocolate bars and sweets we haven’t seen in ages. The shop is slightly over-priced but overall a great place to go if you’re bored of the usual Haribos and Cadury’s Dairy Milks.
The Tea House - Covent Garden
15a Neal Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9PU

A wonderful, cosy shop situated in Neal Street, Covent Garden. A great place for all tea lovers and tea-loving tourists! There are some great gift ideas, including all the types of tea you can think of, mugs, cups and saucers, teapots, tea-pot & mug combos. Although it may be a tight squeeze to get in if there are a lot of people, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Primark - Mayfair
499 Oxford Street, Mayfair, London W1C 1HG
05-12-2008
Living in central London and hearing all the stories about how 'great’ Primark was I was interested to see what the shop was like. After one or two awful experiences, I doubt I will ever go back. It is so busy one can hardly get inside anyway. The clothes, although very cheap, are poor quality and do not last long - they either fall apart or shrink in the wash. You queue for a very, very, long time to buy something you will probably throw away the following week and if you do find anything worth your money they probably don’t even have your size anymore.
Not a bad place to go if you’re looking for a basic item like a t-shirt, but personally I would rather go somewhere where I know my money pays for good quality.
Costa - Bloomsbury

A nice and relaxing environment for any book enthusiast! You can sit down for a relaxing cup of coffee after a couple hours of browsing bookshelves. A very clever way of keeping customers from leaving, and it works on me every time!
Russell Square - Bloomsbury
Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1B 4JP

As I was growing up, Russell Square was my local park and I loved going there. Still do. It’s the perfect space for going on a quick stroll with the dog or a quick run. It’s very popular amongst students and tourists, and provides a lovely scenic shortcut through to Russell Square Station. I would recommend it any time of year!
