The Rickshaw - Wealdstone

124 High Street, Wealdstone, London HA3 7AL

01-11-2007

This is an excellent Chinese restaurant, you can "eat as much as you like" for a fixed price. You get starters, soup, duck in pancakes and then a main course or dessert. You can order more of any course at no extra cost. The service is always friendly. The only downside is that parking can be a bit difficult.

La Tasca - Covent Garden

23-24 Maiden Lane, London WC2E 7NA

01-11-2007

La Tasca is a great restaurant, I've been to their restaurants all over the country, and this one is my favourite. The menu is a range of small dishes that you order to share amongst everyone at the table, and they have a great range of wines but best of all jugs of sangria, which is a Spanish wine mix. The one at Maiden Lane has the best atmosphere and you don't need to book, just turn up and if they haven't got a table you wait in the bar until one comes free (how the staff remember who you are I don't know but they do). WARNING: One jug of sangria between two people is enough. Especially if you're a lightweight like me!

Pizza Express - West End

26 Haymarket, London SW1Y 4EN

01-11-2007

It seems like there's a Pizza Express on every street corner, but this one's my favourite. The menu is the standard stuff, but it's always very high quality, the service is excellent and like all Pizza Exprress there is a good range of wines. The reason I like this one the best is because I can always get a table by the window, and just relax with my friends and my food and watch the world go by outside. Especially good for a Saturday night.

Brent Cross Shopping Centre - Brent Cross

Management Off Prince Charles Drive, London NW4 3FP

01-11-2007

The Brent Cross shopping centre has most of the stores you are likely to need, and best of all it has free parking. If you live in the North West London area, this is the best place to start looking for things that you need. It doesn't feel cramped like a lot of shopping centres and the size even means that you get to see daylight regularly.

John Lewis - Marylebone

278-306 Oxford Street, Mayfair, London W1A 1EX

01-11-2007

John Lewis is the best department store. They have all the products at good prices and the service is second to none. I always look there first before buying anything as I'd just rather buy it from them. You also get a good warranty (3 years on kitchen goods, 5 years on TVs) free.

Cheers - Dulwich

141 Lordship Lane, London SE22 8HX

01-11-2007

Cheers is a good bar if you want to stay out late, but get there early because you can be queuing down Regent Street if you get there late. Polite door staff help, as do a good range of drinks at fairly reasonable prices and good music.

Rock Garden - Covent Garden

6-7 The Piazza, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8HB

01-11-2007

The Rocak Garden has good and bad days. I've been there a couple of times on Saturday evenings. It seems to depend on whether they feel like giving you a teble or not if you haven't got a booking, and booking online can be quite difficult. Once you get in however, it's a great place. The food is fabulous, with a great range, even for a veggie like me, and the service is so friendly.

Dial (bar and restaurant) - Covent Garden

10 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9HD

01-11-2007

I love the Dial Bar, It's one of those places where you can really relax and get treated as if you are someone important. The service is always excellent and the staff are polite and attentive, I like to go there on a Sunday afternoon after shopping and once the barman asked me if it was OK to turn the lights down for the evening. A great range of food and drinks as well.
