Since then I have been getting newsletters from print24 telling me how good they are.

Total fiasco.

This is a pub with a view and a nice selection of real ales.

The bar staff are very friendly and the service is great. On Sundays, the pub becomes very busy for the roast which is one of the most popular in town.

Over the Mazey weekend, the Yacht becomes a good meeting up point being right close to the festival marquee.

There’s a good beer garden at the back with a good high gate to keep the kids in.

Worth a visit if you are in Penzance.

This is a pub that makes the most of its surrounds and welcomes children with welcome arms.

The real ales are great, the food just gets better and the play area lets the kids run wild and have fun.

I’ve only been in the daytime so I can’t vouch for the evening atmosphere but in the summer it’s a nice family pub and the landlord, a Newlyn boy, is very friendly.

The heyday of The Flora are long gone and this cinema once closed for a good few years.

It’s no open again but is a little run down already. The local youths are pests and can spoil a film but if you’re going for an later show then the quality is not too bad.

No online booking so shows can sell out and the snacks are pricey. Yet still, it’s open at a time when cinemas are struggling.

If you want a bag of chips, and I mean a real bag of whole hearty chips that’ll fill you right up, then get in the queue here.

This is the local’s favourite for a reason.

Stuff getting an Indian, go for this chippy….

If you like a good slap up meal for a fair price, then this is the place.

Nothing fancy, just big meals in a rustic surround.

This one has a nice view over the harbour.

Excellent eatery by day, fine restaurant by night.

Very relaxed atmosphere with an exciting menu of new foods and old classics.

Quite bland and nondescript. The Thai Moon in town is far better. You can BYO wine here but that’s the only bonus.

I’m not sure if I’m reviewing the beach or the cafe in the car park above the beach.

The beach is great for families and is very safe with good lifeguard cover. Gets very busy and parking is a hassle.

The cafe has a great menu with fantastic views and again is very busy. Food is a bit over-priced but is worth it.
