Best kebab house in headcorn, which isn’t hard as it’s the only one!
Very nice chicken kebabs, chilli sauce is good even if the owner does hint that it may give you diarrhea!

Excellent independent supermarket, great if you are fed up with the same old tesco/asda/sainsburys/ etc. Good range of stuff and good prices, sometimes have a great offer on fuel at their petrol station too (10p off a litre)
Well worth visiting if you are in the area, it’s like the supermarket time forgot..

Possibly the worst tesco in the country, agree with other comments regarding car park, it’s foul and stinks of urine, shop isn’t much better, staff must hate working there as much as customers hate shopping there, one of the reasons I’m glad I moved out of Chatham..

Unbelievably expensive utility supplier that you have to pay a monthly fee to for being a member of the “club”, salesmen use misleading tactics and information to get people to sign up.
Not sure why this is listed as being in the council building as it will be some individual “independent” distributer, Not based in council office or have anything to do with council, buyer beware!

Newly opened in what used to be the blue Danube, we visited on Sunday to try the buffet, it was their first sunday open and unfortunately it showed, service was very slow and the waiter seemed more concerned about the position of the candle than bringing the rest of our drink order (we ordered three drinks, one came out almost straight away, one five minutes later and one about ten minutes after that)
When we got there none of the buffet was ready, so it was nearly half an hour before we could actually eat anything besides poppadoms.
Once the food was ready there was a small selection of 5 curries and Bombay potato, rice etc.
Would I go back?
No, overlooking the service as teething troubles the food was just not good enough to make me go back, the food was OK, nothing wrong with it, it’s just that there are better places around that cook far better curries.
The staff were very polite and I’m sure once they are settled in the service will become much better,.however I will not be returning to find out..

Sign outside says “open lunchtimes 12 – 2” but try going in there at half one even for a Takeaway and get told “we’re closing in five minutes” and ushered out the door. Very rude, pointless opening if you don’t want the business so I went to another more friendly curry house..
Food here is OK if you can actually get to eat it..

Very nice hotel, we stayed there on a special £10 a night offer this weekend and thought the hotel was great, the room was small but well decorated and looked after, when you stay at the hotel you get full use of the pool and spa facilities which is great for £10 a night!

Downside is the pool and spa area is on its own down near the golf centre and you have to walk outside to get to it, not too much of a problem as its not miles away but it was a bit of a pain getting out the pool and drying off only to be soaked walking back to the room.

Staff were great and dealt with some guests that were causing a lot of noise outside well and called us back to make sure we were happy.

Breakfast at the hotel was a nice buffet style affair for £7.50 which I thought was totally worth the money, there is a bar menu in the evening and also a £15 for 2 course meal in the restaurant.

I wasnt really that impressed with the burger and chips I had from the bar menu and my OH was even less impressed with her BLT sandwich. It was just good enough so there was nothing to complain about but quite bland and tasteless and pricey for what you got (no real surprise for a hotel)

The hotel seemed to be very busy all the time we were there and this showed as the pool was so full at one point you couldnt even swim a width (and thats a small pool!)

We went to the Water Margin over the weekend as we were staying at the nearby Staverton Park hotel and didnt fancy eating at the hotel.

Let me just say the food was fantastic, some of the best chinese food I’ve had in a long time!

The service however kind of let it down, we arrived on Sunday evening and looked at the menu on the wall outside, you can have a choice of anything off the menu or go for the “Buffet” option (which isnt really a true buffet where you help yourself but where the food gets brought out to you) we were sat at a table and the drinks order taken (1 large bottle of mineral water and 2 bottles of Tsingtao beer) we were given the menus, when we asked about the buffet the waitress pretty much rolled her eyes and tutted and took the menus as “There is a different menu for the buffet” (like we were supposed to know that!)
The drinks came to the table, the mineral water bottle had been opened away from the table and drinks poured from bottles (maybe just me being picky but if I order mineral water I prefer to see a sealed bottle come to the table so I know its not tap water)

We ordered several dishes and each time the waitress came to the table it was like we were really spoiling her evening by being there.

As I say, the food itself was very very good and is obviously popular as a takeaway as we noticed quite a few bags of food being collected.

Go for the food and not for the service

Bottle of “Mineral water” was £3.50
Tsingtao beers were around £3

My pizza delivery of choice while I was living in Chatham, without a doubt the best pizzas and the fastest service (I tried a few)

They do the usual choices of topings and also 18 inch pizzas for £9.99 along with other meal deals. The garlic bread is also good.

Fastest delivery in the medway towns!

Good cinema with a few nice big screens, lots of parking and plenty of choice of places to eat afterwards.

Seats are comfy with a decent amount of leg room (although not as much as in some other cinemas)

There are nine screens showing all the latest films, prices of drinks etc are a bit steep but to be expected when going to the cinema.
