Caluccio’s is a great place to grab a great authentic italian pasta for a very reasonable price. Not only is the food delicious but the decor is trendy and attracts a similar crowd. For around £25 we were able to get a bread, two pastas, and a bottle of white wine. My only criticism was that the size of the mains were a little on the small side. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone looking for an original italian style cafe but only if you’re not so hungry you could eat your left hand.

I love this pub. It's not too pretentious as some other East London pubs. It's very small but not too crowded. It always has great music playing and a good selection of wine at good price too. Possibly the best House wine I've had since moving to London. Went there for lunch a couple of time and the pies are delicious. I highly recommend having a tradtional English lunch here to any fellow foreigners. All in all a good pub for lunch and a lazy afternoon drink.

I went to this beautician for some waxing. Initally when I walked in I thought it looked a little shady and cramped. However, once in the relaxing and clean room of the beautician I was reasonably impressed. My beautician was chatty and friendly but more important ridiculously quick! Which in turn I was thankful for as it meant less pain. I wouldn't say this is the most glamorous of salons but if your after a quick wax or maybe a manicure at a very affordable rate then I would recommend you give Beauty Above a try.

This cinema is great. Based at the top of Brick Lane markets it carries on that kind of eclectic East London feel. Playing arthouse, documentaries, local films, and your blockbusters your bound to find something you want to watch. On the lower floor is a coffee shop, bar, and art gallery if you after something a bit better than your token candy bar snacks. The seats are spacious and the pre movie music is indie and contemporary. My only complaint is that they had a malfunction and didn't play any previews so the movie was 20 minutes late in starting. However, I can't really complain as they reimbursed us with free soft drinks. All in all I would recommend to this to anyone looking for a cinema that's not so mainstream but still has all the comforts of your bigger chain cinemas.
