Sehr nette (Metal-)Kneipe, nette Bedienungen, faire Preise, sehr große Auswahl an Getränken und Snacks. Tolles Ambiente. Doch, da kann man öfters hingehen :)

Reduta is a Polish disco which lies right next to the U-Bahn stop “Stadgarten”.
They always have good music playing here (hip hop, techno, disco Polo (Polish party music)) and the people are all very nice, even if you’re not a Pole. I can say this from experience :)
The drinks prices are moderate and even quite cheap. Once a month they have the “Birthday Party” where those who have their birthday in that month get free entrance and get a free bottle of their choice (Vodka, Whiskey, Tequila etc).
All in all a friendly, and as regular visitor, familiar atmosphere reigns here.

Definitely (more than) worth a visit!

The HappyHappyDingDong (short HHDD) is an alternative bar where new rock and rock classics are exclusively played. Its very nicely and cosily decorated, with rock band LED signs and pleasant, easy colours.
The highlight at HHDD is definitely the Rock 'n’ Roll karaoke night held every Wednesday and once a month on Saturday. On this evening you snap up the list with the songs (around 400 songs!), pick out one of your favourite, write it on a piece of paper and then jump up to the microphone when you hear the first notes of your song. It doesn’t matter what it sounds like as almost everybody sings ;)

Trödler is a bar that - as the name already suggests - is completely decorated with junk. Sounds a bit strange, and you can hardly believe it when you see it. But the decoration is all very chilled and the prices are also very good. They have food everyday at good prices (from 3-5 Euro) and the service is extremely friendly =)
The fireplace in the middle of the room also contributes to the special ambiance. Definitely worth a visit :)

Village is a great place on Fridays for people who like to drink cocktails and want to hear good music, as the entrance on Fridays is 'only’ 22 Euros but you can drink up to the value of 40 Euros.
The music in the large hall changes between Hip Hop and electronic music. The small hall plays only Hip Hop.

Limericks is an Irish Pub no more than 5 minutes away from the Hauptbahnhof. When you come here you almost feel like you’re in Ireland. Guiness, chips with salt & vinegar, cider and whiskey in all varieties. And all this at fair prices! The service is very friendly and obliging, and on the terrace on the first floor you can enjoy the sun in peace and drink a beer =) Highly recommended!

Westfalenpark is especially lovely in the summer. Various flowers blooming all around. The rose garden should especially not be missed ;-) But the park has lot to offer otherwise: trampolines, football fields, mini golf , playgrounds, restaurants. Its only a shame that you’re not allowed to barbeque there, but the restaurants are actually quite reasonable, and you can find something for all tastes :)

Das Atlantico hat seine positiven wie auch negativen Seiten. Aber fangen wir mit den guten Sachen an ;)
Die Milchshakes sind unwarscheinlich lecker. So findet man neben den Standartsorten auch Exoten wie zum Beispiel einen Milchschnitten-Shake, einen Nutella-Shake und einen Krokant-Shake. Zu Happy Hour-Zeiten sind die Preise des Ladens auch angemessen, ansonsten leider nicht wirklich. An den Tortillas mit Käse kann man LOCKER mit 2 Mann essen wenn man HUNGER hat! Und die Bedienungen sind sehr nett. Achja, Erdnüsse gibts gratis bis zum abwinken. Ist dort quasi eine essbare Deko ;)

Zu den negativen Punkten: Man muss sehr viel Geduld aufbringen wenn man dort hingeht denn die Bedienungen sind leider nicht die schnellsten. Machmal gehen auch Kleinigkeiten bei der Bestellung schief (bekam z.B. Schorle statt Saft).

Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall mal die Shakes und Cocktails da zu probieren, aber in Sachen Kundenzufriedenheit müssen die Leutchen da noch ein bisschen was tun.

Im Westfalenpark ist es vorallem im Sommer wunderschön. Überall blühen die verschiedensten Blumen. Vorallem der Rosengarten ist dann nicht zu übersehen ;) Aber auch so hat der Park eine Menge zu bieten: Trampoline, Fussballplätze, Minigolf, Spielplätze, Restaurants. Schade ist natürlich das man dort nicht grillen darf, aber die erwähnten Restaurants sind recht günstig und man findet eigentlich für jeden Geschmack etwas :)

Comment: The Tarantula Cult Club, or The Tarantula as everybody calls it, is an alternative pub where metal, rock, Ebm & Gothic rock are given preference. The people I’ve met there have always been really nice, open and seldom aggressive. This pub is mainly made up of a small stage where bands perform on a regular basis, a very large counter and a small lounge area. In any event it’s very cozy, and if slightly heavier sounds are your thing, you’re definitely at the right place here:)
