Chef Peking is County Hall and near the police station. This small, humble chinese take away is the best I’ve ever had. I had spare ribs and noodles that were delicious. I now visit here often as I was very impressed by the food. The service is quick and easy. It is not very expensive and worth the money that I did pay. I would recommend buying your chinese here as it tastes authentic and delicious especially as you do not have to make it. They also sell drinks and snacks such as prawn toast, prawn crackers and a lot of chinese snacks and food.

The Harvester is directly off the motorway and is next to a hotel. The pub shares a large front car park with the hotel. On the menu, there is spit roast chicken with barbecue sauce and harvester burgers. These are their specialite dishes but I wouldn’t try any of their other dishes especially their steak which is really tough and chewy. The drinks are also really expensive. There are normally on Saturdays, really long queues and it is better to book for special ocassions such as easter and christmas as you can have to wait for up to two hours. There is a small area where you can sit outside with wooden benches and umbrellas.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Taunton, and this is why: the food is reasonably prices, you get free drink top ups and the “hut” is very hygenic and clean. My favourite time to go is weekdays when they have an all you can eat buffet deal for something like £5.99. Although initially the drinks are very expensive you get free top ups and the chairs are very comfortable and it is generally a nice place to meet up with your friends. They have very kind and helpful staff and most imortantly of all, the pizzas are delicious with all the toppings you could need. There are alo several sides of potato wedges, cheese crust chunks and several dips.

International food store is on East Reach and is next to a indian restaurant and is opposite The Foam Shop. Inisde they sell food from all over the world such as Poland, Russia, The Phillipines and other European countries. The food is not very tasty and is imported and takes a long time to fly over and makes it taste a bit funny. When ever I go past I never see anyone in there. If you were initially from abroad and miss the tastes and food from your country then this is good place to buy those foodds that you can not buy in the super market.

Iceland is next to The Body Shop and a restaurant. The food is definitely not what I would call good quality but it is very cheap. The branded foods are good if they are on a deal. At Iceland they sell most foods, fridges, drinks and toileteries. Some of their three for five pound platters are okay but some of their platters are dodgy and get squashed. Their fridges are okay but do not last very long and break very quickly. The have five tills, but only have one open normally which means you have to take a while and they take ages scanning it.

Greggs is in the old market centre next to silver scene and the virgin holiday shop. Greggs is brilliant if you are in a hurry and do not have much money to spend. They sell sandwiches, pasties, sausage rolls and pizza slices that children especially love. It is very cheap, and the sandwiches are about one pound each. The pasties and sausage rolls are about sixty pence. The pizza slices are eighty pence each. If you are busy then this is the perfect snack and if do not have much money with you then this is the ideal budget snack and they are tasty as well.

Bradleys is on the high street next to a pub and subway sandwich shop and opposite Peacocks. It is a very small shop with three or four members of staff. They charge a lot of commission if you sell your house with them or rent your house with them. They did not have a very large selection of houses, and the ones they do have are the lower end houses, ranging from fifty thousand to four hundred thousand pound houses. If your house is valued at a high price then you should choose a different estate agent such as stags, webbers or humberts, these are better known agents and are more popular.

This pub used to be under different management, and quite frankly was dreadful. Although now it has changed the service is average, and the price is not very expensive, although is not very cheap either. It is still not particularly brilliant and is never busy in there. It is a very big pub, although hardly anyone is ever there. There is a childrens play area at the back which is not very safe and you have to watch your childrens carefully whilst on there as they do not take any responsibility. I would not recommend going to this pub as there is much better in Taunton.

O’Bridge is part of the Brewers Fayre chain, and have pubs all across England. There is a hotel next to it called Premier Inn that is quite cheap to stay in. It is convenient if you are staying at the hotel you can eat your meals at the pub. It is very warm and cosy inside the pub. They have drinks at a good price, such as beer, lager, vodka, guiness, stella artois and juice. The food is very tasty. The meat is cooked perfectly to your taste and while the children are waiting there is a fun factory where the children can play for a couple pounds or so.

Peaches is down an alleyway called bath place. It has a series of shops, cafes and restaurants, in fact it is opposite a restaurant. They sell clothing, although it is mostly black and quite gothic. They sell some very nice scarves in a variety of beautiful colours. They are definitely worth buying as they go with a lot of things. If you like black clothes and like the gothic style then you should shop here. They also sell a few items of jewellery that are black and have freakish patterns and designs on them. If you like black and think this is your thing then you should visit here.
