Budget Car & Van Rentals - Barnes

152 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, London SW15 2SW

24-04-2008

I rented a car from here once. The service was great. I booked the car I wanted online and all I had to do was to go to the place with my driving license and I got my car. Obviously there were some checks done on the car to make sure there were no scratches or dents before I take it out. They made a note on how much petrol there was in the tank. Those were done rather quickly and then I was off. When I brought the car back the same checks were performed again and if everything was alright then you can go. The people were nice and service was quick. The car rental was cheap. It was something like 15 pounds for a day. If you are planning on a trip somewhere it might be worth while to check the prices. If its a few people going on a trip might be cheaper to get a car and drive than taking the train.

The Disney Store - Mayfair

Avon Ho 360 Oxford Street, London W1C 1AB

24-04-2008

This disney store is huge. It has a lot of lovely things in there. Everytime I go in there I have to squeeze the soft toys expecially tigger and nemo. They are adorable. My boyfriend doesn’t like going in with me unless its him that needs to get something because I take too long in there. I look at everything. They have got nice mugs and bowls and keychains and bedroom slippers. All the disney show DVD’s you can get in there. Anyone that loves Disney movies will love this store.

Argos Stores - Westminster

19 The Broadway, W12 Shopping Centre, London W12 8PP

24-04-2008

You can get anything and evrything from Argos. When I moved to London I had to get a few basic things for my new place. The most important thing was more storage solutions. I got quite a few bits from Argod because they things were of good quality and cheap. I still have those things and I am still using them. For the price you pay for somethings you don’t expect it to last that long but its lasted for 5 years already. This store is always busy due to its location in the middle of the shopping mall. Weekends are worst so its best to go on a weekday. The queue is usually long and it takes forever for them to bring what you ordered out.

The Fishing Net - Londres

59 Station Approach, London HA4 6SL

24-04-2008

I had fish and ships here a few days ago. It was pretty good. The food was cheap. One portion of chips was £1.20 which I think is reasonable. The staff are friendly and hcatted with us while we waited. There is salt and vinegar for your chips if you want. They also have a lot of other things on the menu like pies, savoloys, sausage rolls, kebab, chip buttie and many others. Just reading the whole menu will take you quite some time.

lovefilm.com - Chiswick

www.lovefilm.com, Chiswick, London W3 6RU

This online DVD rental site is really good. If you tend to rent a dvd from blockbusters most weekends then this might be a good solution for you. YOu pay a monthly fee and you can borrow as many DVD’s as you like. You just have to create your list online and they will send you the DVD one by one in the order of your list. When you finish the DVD, you post it back in its pre-paid envelope and then they send you another. So you can watch as fast as you can or take your time. They have a lot of new titles and old one too.

French Connection Group - Marylebone

396 Oxford Street, London W1C 1JX

24-04-2008

This store has really nice clothes. Its designs are different and stylish. For me, the best time to buy is during the sales period. Many of the lovely clothes are all 75% off. You can get really nice tops and skirts rerally cheap. Now, they have got nice floaty flowery dresses that is in fashion. They use nice materials like silk. The prices before the sales are not too bad. You can get a nice top for 20 pounds. The mens clothing are great too. I recently bought a top for my boyfriend for 20 pounds and it was red and the design is funky.

Jane Packer (at Selfridges) - Mayfair

400 Oxford Street, London W1A 2LR

This is the best florist in the world. They sell beautiful bouquets. Its like nothing you’ve ever seen. Their arrangements are fantastic and is guranteed to wow! If needed they can deliver the flowwers to any address. Everything about this place is great except that the prices are a bit high. But saying that if you’ve seen the flowers you would pay those prices for it. Its worth every penny.

Abercrombie & Fitch - Mayfair

7 Burlington Gardens, Mayfair, London W1S 3ES

24-04-2008

The first time I decided to look for this store was when I saw so many people carrying their paperbags. So I asked around and finally found it. It was quite hard to find but when I got there it was amazing. The entrance doesn’t even look like a store, more like a big important house. My friend and I were greeted at the entrance and shown the way in. In the lobby area there was a guy model there and a lady asked us if we wanted a photo taken with him. We declined politely and walked into the store. The lights were dim and there were so many people that day. The deco of the place was great. The walls are all wooden and it had shelves up to the ceiling all filled with clothes. It had so many different floors you could get lost in there. The music was so loud you can barely hear what people are saying. Overall it was a good experience. I don’t know if its the same everyday or was it a one off thing because there was something going on that day. Either way its worth a look.

Tower 42 - City of London

25 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1HN

24-04-2008

This is the tallest building in Central London. It looks amazing from the front. There is a cafe on the ground floor that anyone can enjoy. This building houses Rhodes 24 the restaurant and Wagamama. There is also a gym and spa in there. In fact you can get all kinds of services in this building. They have conference rooms with all the conferencing equipment in there. The architecture of the building is fantastic. Its glass exterior makes it look so classy and sophisticated.

The Bead shop - Covent Garden

21a Tower Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9NS

24-04-2008

This is the bnest bead shop in London. Situated in Between Leicester square and Covent makes it really strategic to get too. They have all kinds of beads from swarovski crystals to wooden beads. If you are not sure what you need, the sales people there are always helpful. They can give you a piece of paper with a beginners guide for some basic bead making tips. You can also get books there that gives you more details about making bead necklases/jewellery. I learned how to make bead things by trail and error. I see something I like and I go out to buy the beads for it and try to string them together myself. If it works great if not I try again or I go into the shop for some help.
