Primark - Hammersmith
1 Kings Mall, King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 0PZ
11-11-2008
Great clothes for cheap prices. The quality of the clothes is very decent.. I DID have a coat with a hole in the pocket & missing buttons but they exchanged it quickly & easily.. the only problem is that they may be out of your size if you don’t exchange your item quickly. This store is so popular you can literally find it by following the hoard of people carrying brown paper bags labeled primark on oxford street. The reason everyone’s such a fan of primark is the variety of nice clothes for such great prices. So it’s very likely you’ll find something for you. Especially if you’re a tourist on a budget. From jackets to lingerie they pretty much have everything you need. (jackets for example can be 25£, underpants 1.50£..)
Jennyfer - Quartier Saint Gervais

great fashion store directed mostly at teens but personally I think if you’re not actually FROM france you can find things for in your 20s. just cute urban clothes etc.
Ed's Easy Diner - Soho
12 Moor Street, Old Compton Street, London W1D 5NG

What a fantastic place to eat. The food’s great but the atmosphere is even better because the place is the kind of retro diner you normally only dream of visiting. It’s not a huge place but that doesn’t matter, they decorated every inch with red plastic and metallic goodness. The food is the kind you’d expect from a retro diner - burgers, fries, etc.
Be sure to try the cookies & peanut butter milkshake - it sounds dreadfull but it’s divine.
Bens Cookies - Covent Garden
13a The Piazza, London WC2E 8HD

This is the best cookie shop EVER!! The cookies are huge & insanely delicious. If you take them home they stay moist for days. Granted, at 6 pounds for about 6 cookies their not the cheapest but give one a try & you’ll understand why it’s worth the hole in your pocket. I talked these cookies up to my friends & still they weren’t disappointed. Best. Cookies. Ever.
Muji - Bloomsbury
16-17 Tottenham Court Road, Marylebone, London W1T 1BL
10-11-2008
(If I had to describe muji the last word I’d use is cheap. They even overcharge for small pathetic bundles Q-tips. but anyhoo..)
If you owned nothing but muji items you’d have a very organized modern and minimalistic home. Everything would have it’s own little container, in black white grey or see-through. This store is great at making little containers for everything and simplified nice looking items to go in them for every aspect of your life. Travel? toiletries? stationary? check check & check.
I was mad however that I couldn’t replace a poorly made product from a paris muji in a london muji. The store manager was rude & very unhelpfull. It made me question the quality of their products, so unless you live there I wouldn’t buy anything too expensive or electronic. I went from a huge muji fan to a bitter customer…

One of the two best places in Israel for alternative fashions. has lots of clothes: gothic metal emo.. all the good stuff.
Bunch of accessories too.. great staff to help you pick stuff out. recommended for both men & women.
Oh.. I recommend looking at their site before going. they change their store’s location all the time.

Great alternative fashion shop from gothic to emo & all the cool stuff in between. Also has hair colors, some accessories & shoes, & bags. One of the two best shops in israel for alternative fashion. Also is right next to a metal CD shop. so your bf has a place to look at while you try stuff on.. :P
Le Piano Vache - La Sorbonne
8 rue Laplace, Mouffetard/ Biblio St Geneviève/ Sorbonne, 75005 Paris
10-11-2008
This place was great there’s nice alternative people, friendly bartenders who understand enough english to help you out. Good metal/rock music & atmosphere..Two (!) bars for days when it gets crowded.. the walls are covered in band posters which is very cool. in short: recommended. Only thing is.. i’m not sure they play metal every night so you may want to do a little research.. or just drop by like I did - I loved it. :)
