I have been a customer of this hairdressers for nearly 7 years now.

I was impressed when i first tried them with the friendliness and the approachability of the staff and i still am! They get quite booked up (a sign of them being good i guess) so you do need to be a bit organised and book in advance.

Quite a funky atmosphere, it is part of a small chain of hairdressers. Colourists give great advice and all are encouraged to take part in hair shows and competitions which is great I think as it helps to keep their ideas fresh.

Definitely the best italian in the area - run by an italian family the traditional way. It doesn’t really have any airs and graces.

You can watch the pizza chef prep your food and the rest of it gets prepared behind the scenes.

Fresh tasting and always a good selection of specials on offer including fresh fish.

Definitely worth giving it a try.

The service can sometimes be a little less than you would hope for but the food is usually pretty good.

This restaurant is part of a small chain, offering a menu plus daily specials which are usually definitely worth looking at.

Produce is fresh and the restaurant is centrally located in the high street.

Reasonably priced.

I really like the Minnow. It has a great setting, very close to the river and a good outside seating area although this sun trap can get very busy in the summer (assuming we have one).

The inside is mainly dining area rather than bar area. The food is great with daily specials and a modern mixed menu, offering everything from warm salads, meze for two, seafood risotto and pizza of the day. The desserts can be to die for.

They usually bring round bread and oil to help get you going to but don’t eat too much of it as you won’t have room for afters.

A good choice of sharing plates too.

Definitely worth booking at the weekend otherwise you might be disappointed.

I have been a customer of Body Image for a couple of years now. They offer late evening appointments plus have a sister shop in nearby Hartley Wintney if you can’t get an appointment in Fleet.

The staff are really friendly, they offer a good range of treatments and are reasonably priced.

It would be great if they did promotions occasionally!

On moving to Guildford I decided to try this hairdressers on the basis that when i called up, the lady who answered seemed friendly and helpful.

I arranged an appointment to get my highlights sorted out. I went in with blonde highlights and to help sort out the toning, was advised that i would end up “darker blonde”.

I came out with dark brown almost black hair. On top of that, i had hair dye stains all around my hair line and on my t shirt.

I was not amused. On a plus, i did speak to the manager who agreed that my expectations had not been met and that i would be compensated.

Unfortunately by this stage my experience was blighted and i will not be returning to this hairdressers.

Quite centrally located, with great opening hours including both saturdays and sundays.

the staff here are very friendly and helpful.

They sell pet accessories like cat flaps, toys and food and offer clinics for specific issues like immunisation and fleas!

used this vets when my cat needed emergency treatment and they were great, helping me to complete the pet insurance claim too.

Would recommend them

Ok, I’ll admit it. The main reason i jump in the car and head over to Watts Gallery is for the Tea Shop. It is great!

Its like stepping back in time in some ways, a hidden gem of a place where you may have to queue for a little table but it is worth it.

The homemade sponges and cream teas are not for the faint hearted or those who are on a diet but well worth a visit.

All eggs are free range and organic, amazing selection of teas. A great place to take visitors for an afternoon tea with a difference away from the maddening crowd.

PS. Make sure you wear trousers with an elasicated waist

I think this is fast becoming my favourite shop in Guildford. I entered the shop stressed and under pressure to find an outfit for an upcoming wedding and left the store, with dress and accessories, for once feeling less of a tomboy and more glamour puss.

Ok, so my credit card took a bit of a hit but hey, a girls gotta look good!

The sales assistant was incredibly helpful, pulling out lots of outfits for me to try and recommending accessories (she did an amazing sales job) without actually making me feel pressured to buy anything.

There is a great range of ladies and girls clothing and the only thing that stops me giving it 5 stars is the cost of some of the clothes can be quite prohibitive.

Lets hope the sales are good!

Hmmmm. Well up until this weekend I would have probably have marked this department store higher as it has a good selection of products and is fairly well laid out inside.

This weekend, however, i experienced the worst customer service ever in the Guildford branch. I went in to pick up a reserved light and 3 - yes 3 - hours later i finally left the store with the lights but without my sense of humour!

What a painful experience which I can only put down to a new batch of sales assistants who didn’t seem to have a clue what they were doing or how to treat customers.

In the end I had to ask to speak to the manager who apologised but by this stage I just wanted to leave the store. I understand the need to employ extra staff for xmas but please ensure you offer them some training!
