Proud Galleries - Embankment
5 Buckingham Street, London WC2N 6HL
19-01-2008
I've been there today and I'll probably go there tomorrow. Proud Gallery is a small one, although it have enough space to present you with the amazing and unique photographs of pop icons.
Right now, there is this fascinating John Lennon exhibition. You can easily get there (Charing Cross St), the admission is free and it's really worth seeing. With the music you'd love in the background, you can reveal the deep layers of the seemingly simple photographs. John Lennon thinker, John Lennon playing fool, John Lennon as a boy.
You are not there? You should be
Octopus - Westminster
The Piazza, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8RB

This is one of the most charming shops I have ever seen. You can buy there almost everything that you need to decorate your household, however, the offer looks just so lovely that I would just look at that without using.
Everything is colourful there and it's Alice in Wonderland atmosphere. The staff is dressed magically and you simply want to spend the whole day there just enjoying the supernatural image.
It's like Harry Potter's Diagon Alley. WOw!
Covent Garden Market - Covent Garden
Covent Garden Market, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8RF

You cannot be bored at Covent Garden- there are shops, street performers, charming cafees, and traditional English pubs surrounding you in every corner.
I love spending there time just walking around, and observing the laziness of London life. It is a great opposition to Oxford Street, where everybody is in hurry and you can get burnt by somebody's cigarette. Covent Garden, although, much smaller, is also much friendier and simply a lovely place.
Enjoy
BFI London Imax Cinema - Waterloo
BFI Belvedere Road, Waterloo, London SE1 8XT

I went to IMAX to see Transformers on a big screen, but what I got was not only the greatest visual effects you can imagine, but moreover, the amazing sound!
IMAX experience as it is called is more than just watching the films- it is almost like taking part in the film's plot and being one of the characters. The presentation that is shown just before the main film is started reveals all the expectations- it's witty and it's thrilling.
I am quite sad, however, that not many films are made for this largest screen in Britain- besides Transformers you can see Harry Potter- but they aren't done in the 3D effect. The films that are made are basically all about nature, and the plot is suitable for children also, so you can think that the story is not worth telling.
Topshop - West End

For those who are absolutely mad about fashion. I am not, however, I often find myself spending the whole day just looking at those clothes. Although, the prices usually scare me out- Kate Moss' collection was a perfect example of simple t-shirts for twice more money just because her name on them.
I hate the atmosphere of the shop- it's always like a rat race. Everybody wants to look original, but at the same time you quickly find out that 90% of people are wearing exactly the same clothes that you have.
It is still a great shop, though. You pay a lot of money for trousers, but it is guaranteed that you will probably die in them and they will still look great on you;)
MissGood I always have mixed feelings about going to this shop. It's out of habit that I will drop in there more to look than to have a rummage.Shopping or at least looking is such an addiction.

British Museum - Bloomsbury
Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3DG
16-01-2008
Although, the history of the British Museum itself can be quite disappointing for its funs, it is definately one of the greatest tourists' spots in the world.
The first thing which strikes one right from the entrance is how well the museum is organised. Everything seems to be on a right place, and I consider the fact very helpful when You just want to discover the history of the world from the beginning.
It has a large collection of statues, and painting, also fragments of the ancient buildings, and everything there is original. The most tempting hall, however, is the library.
In the centre of the library, there always lies the book-it can be everything- Columbus' diary, or simply the nineteenth century novel. The thing is every day you can read one page of it- and the next day there will be the second one shown. Its absolutely amazing how many unique books you can read in that way! (obviously, it takes sometimes a year to read one, but who cares!). Love this idea and enjoy going there
Tower Bridge - Bermondsey
Southwark, London SE1 2UP

Think London-think Tower Bridge.
It really doesn't matter how awful the weather is, it is always a good time to go and see the Tower Bridge. Obviously, the nearer the river you are, the stronger the wind is, however, it gives you a great feeling of freshness. It is also a good way to wake up;)
Tower Bridge looks absolutely stunnind during the night with all its lightings. You really shouln't miss it
Lamb and Flag - Covent Garden
33 Rose Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 9EA

Maybe I recommend this pub only because one of my friends works there;) nooo....I think I actually really enjoy spending time in the crowded atmosphere of one of the oldest pubs in London.
The staff is great and even though the pub is always full they find time to talk to you for a little while. The beer that they serve tastes absolutely fantastic and the way they serve it is very proffessional.
Tate Modern - Southwark
Bankside, Southwark, London SE1 9TG
14-01-2008
Modern Art can be quite challenging, can't it? So when it comes to see some artist one can feel a bit confused about the choice. So why not start from the beginning and slowly develope our knowledge about the contemporary artistic movements? One day in Tate Modern gives you the opportunity to do it!
And to do it right. It presents the audience with the most stunning, and the most controversial elements of modern art. Most of the instalations are free to watch, however, some of temporary ones are charged. The greatest thing is that the artistic atmosphere welcomes us right from the entrance. The main hall is usually used to present the work of art, as well as the outside of the gallery.
I would recommend going there once a week, or at least once a month. because in Tate Modern there is always something new to experience.
Yes, EXPERIENCE- Tate Modern gives You a unique opportunity to take part in the art. Actively
Beatles Store London - Marylebone
231 Baker Street, London NW1 6XE
14-01-2008
Situated ideally opposite the Baker Street station, The Beatles store is impossible to miss. Its tempting look and music heard from the outside spread the atmosphere of the '60s and present the Beatles from the greatest side. The shop has everything.
The amount of accesorises, bags, hats, scarfs, CDs, books and ashtrays is stunning. You can get everything, although the shop itself looks seemingly small inside. Also, there are flyers that can tell you where you can find other shops selling things connected with the band. Madness!
Surprisingly, the staff knows absolutely everything about the Beatles. Spending whole days listening to their music or checking the prices of the selected products, they have learnt absolutely everything and they are happy to share their knowledge with you. They give you presents (obviously The Beatles presents) when spending fifty pounds or more (which, believe me, is not hard at all).
The world seems so grey when you’re leaving the shop, though
