On our visit to Disneyland Paris we stayed at this hotel. It was one of the cheapest hotels we found in the vicinity of the park. On arriving you are greeted with lots of free parking. The hotel is huge and finding our room did take a while. The room was clean but small with a double bed and two single beds all close to each other. I cant say it was the best experience sleeping in the same room as the kids but on the other hand you are just there to sleep right?

You had to pay to use the TV and therefore we were left without anything to watch being on a tight budget. Wireless internet was free though.

The breakfast was a massive buffet with the most delicious fresh fruit and many other pastries and cereals. You could have a cooked breakfast but you had to pay extra for it.

The bus service to the park runs every fifteen minutes or so from right outside the hotel so you can get about easily. I would certainly use this hotel again without hesitation but would go for a bigger room next time.

This bakery has just had a refit and moved next door to its previous premises. The bakery is now much larger and easier to get in and out of.

This is reflected in the fact that it has gotten far busier and now needs a great deal more staff. The bakery is busy all day and you will have to get there early to get the best bakes.

Their cakes are lovely and my hubby loves the bread here. The cocktail pasties are always a hit with the kids and they are happy to cook orders of these for kids parties.

The prices are reasonable and I would recommend them if you havent tried them before.

Cks Supermarket is situated in the tyrdail area of Ammanford and has its own large car park. This is quite a big store which offers a good range of products at reasonable prices.

I would say they certainly have more than your average corner shop and trade just above this level. They stock fresh bread daily and all the other usual items.

My only complaint here is that sometimes you have to que for some time especially if someone in front of you has a large order. There are rarely more than one serving and whilst there isnt always the need sometimes it would be helpful and appreciated. All in all the supermarket is a welcome addition to the area and offers the residents something a little better.

Tycroes supermarket is located on the main road through Tycroes and does not have any off road parking, It can get difficult to park here during busy times.

Really this is just a large corner shop as I dont really feel it offers anything to be categorised as a supermarket. It does have the post office that was situated up the road incorporated within it now.

They do sell magazines and papers and also have the lottery. There is a small range of fruit and vegetables here as well. Apart from this it offers all of the usual toiletries and tins and sweets etc.

Service is ok and if you need something on the way past they are a good place to stop.

The Perrivale Inn is a popular place to eat out in Ammanford and we have eaten out there as a family many times. Weekend booking is advisable but its not always needed during the week. The inn is situated on the right hand side as you travel towards Glanamman and does have off road parking although not a great deal.

The Inn has a lounge and bar, a dining area and you can also stay here overnight. It is a popular wedding reception venue and as such is built to cater in this way. You will find a varied menu when eating here at reasonable prices, drinks here can be a bit over the normal local rate but are not unreasonable.

All in all I have had many relaxing evenings out here and have always recieved good service.

Penybanc trade centre is a car sales situated alongside the petrol service station on the way from Tycroes to Ammanford.

They have a massive selection of cars and vans to suit all pockets and how they fit so many cars into such a small space baffles me. They have reasonable prices and do arrange finance.

It can be difficult to park here as the great quantity of cars they stock takes up every available space. They are always busy and do have a good rotation of cars. They do stock some luxury cars. Well worth a look if you are planning on buying a new car in the near future.

I lived opposite this service station for a great many years and it has changed and improved greatly over the years.

At the moment it incorporate a car sales which can make it quite difficult to get into and there seems to be cars everywhere. The service station has a limited number of pumps. There is now a good shop here with a good range of everyday essentials including bread, milk, cigarettes and sweets. They also stock newspapers and magazines. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

The addition of a kebab and pizza shop next door to here is a welcome addition and means you can have a sit down meal before continuing on your journey.

Sandy road service station is a small petrol station located just next to the bus station and just opposite the college. The service station isnt massive and can get busy around lunchtimes with the college kids. In fact they have learnt how to capitalise on this by incorporating a kebab shop in the back providing them with lunch.

It also has a small shop selling the normal everyday essentials. It also sells sweets and cigarettes. Staff are friendly and helpful and I believe the station is open all day long.

Petrol prices here are quite expensive so if you are filling up bear this in mind as you will be able to fill up a little cheaper in Tesco or Morrisons.

Dafen service station is a large petrol station located just next to Owens in Dafen (In fact Owens own the petrol station) The service station has a massive forecourt with plenty of pumps so you never have to wait.

It also has a large shop selling the normal everyday essentials. It also sells sweets and cigarettes. Staff are friendly and helpful and I believe the station is open twenty four hours a day.

Petrol prices here are quite competitive with the like of Tesco and Morrisons however the dont always measure up, however you may be out of here quicker when filling up as its not as busy.

The Bryn Gelli petrol station is situated at the top of the Bryn just up the road from the Bryn Primary school. It is open all day long and also boasts a small post office.

It stocks bread, milk as well as other essentials and also has a good range of magazines.

The staff are polite and helpful and the store is usually quite quiet although you can expect the occasional que at the post office.

Prices of diesel and petrol here are a little above what you would pay in town so it is worth noting this if you are filling up.
