This part of walthamstow . Away from The Village has been crying out for a decent cafe/restaurant for quite sometime. Finally one has arrived. With food all freshly made on the premises. Apart from delicious Movenpick Ice cream!
The interior is bright and fresh looking with lamps hanging down above each table. You can choose to sit by the large bright glass window or further into the cafe where the light is more subdued..Really well planned with comfy seating and benches and cusions
I enjoyed a lovely cup of excellent hot chocolate and yummy carrot cake. The staff were really pleasant and welcoming. The owner is very approachable and willing to listen to customers suggestions:) I will definitely be going again:) Si
Its Nov and Le Delice is quietly establishing itself as the place to eat in Walthamstow…The staff are lovely and welcoming and steered effortlessly by the owner..Who is hands on too..I love it there and the hot choc is to die for!

The Pavilion - Londres
Old Ford Road, London E3 5SA

The Pavillion is a wonderful place to stop for a hearty breakfast or just a coffee or lunch. The food quality is excellent..They make the best Brownies that I have ever tasted! Lovely ambience with the lake beyond...
The staff are friendly and welcoming...Some of the eateries in Hackney Wick could learn a thing or two about service from here!
The Fox Reformed - Stoke Newington
176 Stoke Newington Church St, Stoke Newington, London N16 0JL

Having spent the best part of 30mins looking for Mulled Wine with no success. I was about to give up when I stumbled accross The Fox Reformed. A cosy bistro bar with warm and welcoming staff. The mull was superb warming and went down a treat. So impressed was I that I returned in the eveing to sample the food. The staff were as freindly as before and it was nice to be greeted with a welcoming smile . The mull was as good as before and the carrot and corriander soup was wonderful served with warm tasty bread. Lovely atmosphere. I will definately go again to further sample the extensive menu and of course the mull!!
Eat 17 - Walthamstow
28-30 Orford Road, Walthamstow, London E17 9NL
07-01-2010
Eat 17 how now been revamped into a classy and I think unprenetious restaurant open all day serving breakfasts lunches and eveing meals. The Restaurant decor is simple and understated. With clean lines. For lunch I chose homemade Cauliflower soup served with bread cooked in mini flowerpots! Served up on a slate plate with wonderful unsalted butter. The soup was scrummy the bread oven warm(not microwaved) . Perfect! The waiting staff were freindly and did not hover waiting to whisk the plate away. The restaurant is now joined to a cosy bar. With a great ambience. Tiled floor and cosy sofas and chairs. Well done Eat 17 for bringing a little bit of class to Walthamstow Village.

We had luncn there today and both chose the Falafel Burger which was nicely presented with rocket salad and harissa and chips or green salad. The burger was with us in around 10 mins considering it was lunch time that was quick. The service was snappy and freindly! The food was really nice served ina seeded bun with beetroot relish and mayo adding some nice flavours. The waitress recommended the Cheescake. which is about the best cheesecake that ive ever tasted. Lovely buttery base… I will defo be going back…
Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch - Shoreditch
19-23 Bethnal Green Road, London E1 6LA
20-02-2009
Having been to the Rich Mix Cinema just down the road from Blanket Babylon we poopped to sample the cocktails. Like other reviews here. I agree the decor is fantasic. Beautifully designed . Its just a shame the the staff seem to surly. Its almost as if they dont care..well I suppose it is Hoxton. But they really need to try harder. On the plus side the cocktails were beautiful if a little pricey…
Zilli Fish - Soho
36-40 Brewer Street, Soho, London W1F 9TB
14-02-2009
After a truely disapointing lunch earlier in the day at Lock 17. It was such a relief to have a truely superb meal at Zilli! My starter of sardines served with grapefruit and blood orange was wonderful. Followed by salmon and rocket. My freind had mackrel in a coconut sauce which was really interesting. The strong flavours of the mackrel masked by the coconut. Wonderful.! We went for the house white which was pleaseant enough and easy on the pocket at £18. The waiters were friendly and was nice to see the chef bringing out some of the dishes. 2 course dinner was £19 plus wine…A great evening..
Sanjit Chudha Have eaten here once and agree that the Zilli touch is great. The cafe next door isn’/t bad either - ideal for lunch if in town.

Lock 17/Jongleurs - Camden
Middle Yard Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AB
14-02-2009
Maybe im missing something…But yesterdays lunch at Lock 17 was truely awful. We all ordered deep fried fish…The meal arrived deep fried but where was the fish.!! We complained and the manager said that no prob and we then ordered burgers which we thought would be a safe option. How wrong were we. The burgers were really poor quality. The buns stale. A small piece of lettuce and coleslaw…The manager agreed and even brought the chef over who stood there in silence!! We got our money back. We wont be going back there !!
le pain quotidien - South Bank
Units 12 and 13 Festival Walk, , Royal Festival Hall,, London SE1 8XX
01-01-2009
On a cold winters day there is nothing you want more that a lovely cup of steamy hot chocolate or skinny latte..Le Pain Quotidien on The South Bank did not dissapoint..with vast bowls filled to the top…The resaurant is set into railway arches and is on two levels…the ambinece is warm and freindly with pine tables and chairs..the service was a little slow…but to be expected on New Years Day!! We both went for soup of the day…vegetable and bacon which was wonderfully thick and warm served with rye bread…sadly no butter! All in all a lovely place just to pop in for a quick coffee a light snack or someting more substantial….and is wonderfully located just accross from The Royal Festivel Hall….
Yeoldon House Hotel - Northam
Durrant Lane, Bideford, Devon EX39 2RL

As someone who spends his time away from home. I make it my business to always stay in the more unusual hotel or guesthouse. chain hotels just dont do it for me. If you ever happen to find yourself in Bideford Devon then this hotel is quite superb..From little touches like Botttled water in the room too teddy bear on the bed Aah! I was lucky enough to have the room with the magnificant four poster and the wonderful river view. You will definatekly be guaranteed a peaceful nights sleep..Not a sound! The food is wonderful . the chef respected as one of Devons finest. I cant fault this hotel…If you are a single occupany you get money off too….bargain…Ill be back!
