This is a lovely, traditional festival that has been going for quite a few years now. Predominantly folk music but there are other acts to check out to like comedy and world dances etc. There are also some great stalls with alternative clothing, jewellery and gifts. Not to mention great food including many vegetarian options, from places like the Mexican, Lebanese and falafel stalls. And most importantly a bar tent with local ales and ciders. An all rounder festival with great food, music and stalls and general happy atmosphere and people. I can really recommend!

This is a much bigger shopping centre than Hale Leys and with some equally big name shops like La Senza, Monsoon, Beatties (house of fraser), 02 shop, New Look, Bey Trading and many more. There is also a large restuarant / cafe in the middle where you can get hot meals or light lunches. Upstairs you can use the massive public toilets which are kept really clean and in great condition.

A great little indoor shopping centre including some big name shops like River Island, Next and Boots. They also have a Julian Graves Health shop, Small Clarke Shoes shop and Curry’s. Also at the front there is a lovely fresh selling smoothie/juice bar which sells some lovely wakeup drinks for about £3. The place also has security guards who look intimidating but are actually really friendly and willing to help.

Being a vegetarian I the was really disappointed with this place the other day as they had a really large menu and one very unappetising option for me to choose which was tomato ravioli. The service was also pretty miserable and the atmosphere was quite starchy in the restaurant area. We have been here before for drinks and I would have to say it is a much better pub than restaurant and wouldn’t really recommend to anyone.

We used to call this place the second office as we all seemed to congregate here after a long day at the office! It is great and always busy! The staff are okay although some can seem quite moody sometimes but never rude. The place is really quite large with quite a few different rooms. It is decorated in quite a nice fashion and the building has kept all it’s original features like beautiful beams. The rose here is to die for and the food really tasty pub grub with a few twists. In the summer the pub garden is so popular and a really nice place to be.

I really do recommend this place for a meal and definately a night out for something a little different for Aylesbury. Although saying that you wouldn’t think from looking at it from the outside and considering the location, which is in the retail park on Cambridge Street both Lidl and Aldi. I went in on a weekend evening and the place was really busy which as said above does seem quite surprising. The food was good and came out quite quickly and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes! The place is quite large and therefore is a great place to go if you have a large group of you. Really friendly and helpful staff as well so this place is really recommended.

The restuarant and pub are great inside and we really enjoyed the food. It is classic pub grub as is part of a chain of pubs, although it is a little different to some. There wasn’t a massive vegetarian option when I was last there which was about 6 months ago, therefore it may be better now. The main problem with this place is, it is outside of Wendover on the road towards Great Missenden. Unfortunately too this road is really busy and the turning in and out of the carpark is really quite dangerous as it is hard to see as own a bit of a dip, you really have to take care.

It is in a strange location as is on a very busy road outside of Aylesbury Town Centre on the way to Waddesdon. This doesn’t stop it being quite busy on the weekends although I havent been in on a week night. The food offered is classic pub food and is okay. The staff were friendly when we were in there and it is a nice atmosphere. It is quite spacious inside and really nicely decorated with a very contemporary look.

I have been in here a couple of times and it seems to be a very busy place most evenings and especially on the weekends. It also seems to be a family orientated pub as well offering traditional pub grub! The Sunday lunches are lovely and very large portions. The staff are absolutely great a real asset to the place. The pub is next to the Premier Inn and is situated just outside of town.

For fish and chips shops/restaurants this has got to be the best around locally. It is situated in Fairford Leys village opposite the Chinese and next to the off licence. The fish tastes better than most places I have eaten before and the chips are made from local fresh potatoes and are absolutely delicious and I think much less oily than other places. The place get really busy in the evenings and there is nearly always a queue when I walk past here! Saying that you never have to wait longer than 10mins at the absolute most. Some of the staff are a bit moody but the food makes it well worth a visit. Strangely they even offer delivery option to locals to the village which is amazing if you’re feeling particularly lazy! Also a restaurant attached if you want to sit in and eat.
