Waterworld - Portrush

Harbour Road, Portrush, Northern Ireland BT56 8DF

19-11-2008

My kid loves waterworld, with its slides and jacuzzi’s not to mention the sauna and steam room for adults it provides a great day out for young and old alike.

The theme of Water world is pirates and the kids just love the idea of having all the piratey stuff around them.

Well worth a visit.

Harbour Bar - Portrush

Harbour Road, Portrush, Northern Ireland BT56 8DF

19-11-2008

We have ate in the Harbour Bar on numerous occassions and can not fault either the quality of food, the atmosphere or the price. Located beside Waterworld it provides an excellent location for a nice meal.

Comfort Hotel - Portrush

73 Main Street, Portrush, Northern Ireland BT56 8BN

19-11-2008

Stayed in the Comfort hotel in Portrush on 3 occasions now, and will definitely be going back there again. Its location right on the edge of the sea gives you stunning views from your window in the morning. Breakfast and lunch are both of the highest standard. Lunch is also reasonable if you are paying seperately for it.

A very short walk takes you to the Prom where you will find the workd famous Barry’s and also waterworld. To go shopping, the train from Portrush will take you into Coleraine in about 10 mins.

All in all, this is an excellent, inexpensive hotel in a great location.

Fermanagh Lakeland Forum - Enniskillen

Shore Road, Enniskillen, Northern Ireland BT74 7EF

19-11-2008

The lakeland forum in Enniskillen attracts all ages and abilities to its various leisure facilities which include a huge (but often cool) swimming pool, a steam room, comprehensive fitness suite, conference and party rooms, double sports hall, indoor kids adventure area, huge outdoor kids adventure play area, football pitches and newly opened artificial surface pitch.

Bushtown House Country Hotel - Coleraine

283 Drumcroon Road, Coleraine, Northern Ireland BT51 3QT

19-11-2008

On the outskirts of Coleraine you will find the Bushtown Country House hotel. Set in relaxing gardens the Bushtown offers excellent reasonably priced food and accommodation.

Included in an overnight stay is an excellent and copmprehensive breakfast and access to the leisure facilities which include a small swimming pool (its fine for a few laps or great for children) a jacuzzi and a sauna. there is also a fitness suite.

The family room we stayed in recently was an excellent size, very quiet and comfortable.

Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart are just a short drive away.

Valley Hotel - Fivemiletown

60 Main Street, Fivemiletown, Northern Ireland BT75 0PW

19-11-2008

Bang in the middle of Fivemiletown main street, the Valley offers comfortable accommodation, a good bar and great food at reasonable prices. A recent refurbishment brought the quality and look of the hotel up to a much nicer standard.

Unfortunately, Fivemiletown itself offers little in the way of entertainment apart from a few pubs.

Enniskillen Omniplex - Enniskillen

Raceview Factory Road, Enniskillen, Northern Ireland BT74 6DP

19-11-2008

The omniplex is OK for watching films on the large screen, but it can be a bit pricey. The Sunday kids matinee is always a big hit as its that bit cheaper. The food and drink which you can buy onsite is also that bit pricey but how can you watch a film in the cinema without a bit of popcorn

Odyssey Arena - Belfast

2 Queen's Quay, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT3 9QQ

19-11-2008

A real multi functional entertainment complex on the outskirts of Belfast catering for everyone from those wanting to go to the cinema, out for a meal, a concert or a show.

We have been there on many occasions and are never letdown by the places ability to host the biggest shows in town. Traffic can be a bit of an issue when a concert ends for example, but if its a nice evening / night you can walk back into the city centre in about 15 mins.

Appartment - Belfast

2 Donegall Square West, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT1 6JA

19-11-2008

Located right in the heart of the city with great views towards city hall if you are lucky enough to get a table at the window. Absolutely excellent for food and if you have a Highlive card they accept it and many times never bother marking off their number on the back.

Robinson's - Belfast

38-40 Great Victoria Street, Belfast, Northern Ireland BT2 7BA

19-11-2008

Super pub restaurant right opposite the Europa. Good selection of reasonably prices meals for adults and kids (very kids friendly). Pub stays open to 1am and on certain nights the craic is mighty
