This is often a very busy branch of McDonalds but this hasn’t stopped me from eating here.
The car park outside is generally full and so I’ve had to use the carpark for the other shops on this industrial estate.
Once inside McDonalds though it’s very clean and plenty of seating around. They have many staff on duty to keep up with the demand of orders they have.
The food is still piping hot and all of it seems fresh and never over/under cooked. Sometimes when I’ve been to other McDonalds resturants in the area they have been sold out on certain products but I’ve never had that here.
My grandchildren always love it if I treat them to a McDonalds and I have always been very satisfied with the service I have received here. Staff have been polite and friendly especially when I can’t make up my mind on what to have to eat.

This tesco store is the best in the local area. It’s massive inside with two levels. They also hold a large resturant too which is pretty new to this supermarket.
They have a very good range of clothing upstairs too. All of which are very good value and excellent quality too.
On the ground level is electrical items, toys, items for the home and of course the groceries.
They also have a good selection of christmas decorations and treats which are some of the best value around.
I have always noticed that the shelves are really well stocked especially with all their offers that they run on certain products. These are all clearly displayed at the end of each isle.
There are many members of staff around the shop floor too and whenever I’ve needed help they have always been happy to help me.
This can get quite a busy store though which often results in long ques at the tills but they do have all checkouts open at peak periods to help prevent long queing.

This is a good sized shop that sells alsorts. They range from groceries, stationary, cards for birthdays, etc., wrapping paper, gifts, souviners, papers, magazines, lottery, fresh bakery and alcohol.
This shop is situated opposite the river on the boarderline of Loddon/Chedgrave. It’s very popular with tourists that come to Loddon on the boats in the summer.
The staff here are very welcoming and always give service with a smile. The opening hours are convenient for tourists and local residents alike.
I often pop into this shop during the summer when I go and sit by the river and then fancy an ice cream.
The gifts, cards, etc they sell are all good priced and very good quality. If it’s a present you need to find at short notice then this is the best place to go in Loddon.

This is a resturant and an indian take away together and I must say their food is absolutely delicious. When you walk in it is very clean and tidy and each of the tables is presented perfectly, even the chairs.
Their menu is excellent with a dish to suit anyone who loves indian food. If you order a takeaway you get 10% off the price and I’ve never had to wait longer than half an hour for it to be cooked. I have also eaten in the resturant too and this is a very pleasant experience. When they bring you your food everything they is perfect, even to positioning the plates. The staff all seem friendly and always welcome you with a smile too.
This is not the cheapest place to eat out in Loddon but it’s worth it as the foods delicious.

This has been my local post office for years and years now and it still to this day always seem really busy. The times it is most busy is just after it opens each day.
Within the post office they sell a very good selection of cards for all occasions including; birthdays, weddings, anniversarys, birth of baby, christening, and many more. They also sell small gifts for special occasions, stationary, handbags and a small selection of creative bits for children. There is also a lottery point at one end of the shop.
There is two counters for serving customers and it’s only normally one that’s open, this includes first thing in the morning too. If it’s help you are after you still have to que for assistance as there is normally only one person in here.
Prices for their items are not really overpriced here.

Out of the two fish and chip shop in this village this is personally my favourite out of the two.
It’s just had a total refurbishment and now looks very modern. This in turn makes it always look very clean and tidy.
They sell various foods that goes well with a good portion of chips such as pies, sausages, burgers and of course fresh fish. There portion sizes are very generous and I’ve never had a meal that’s never gone down well. The staff that work here are very friendly and are also very polite. If you come here for chips on a Friday or Saturday night then it’s more than likely to be qued at it’s soo popular with local residents.
I do find the prices to be about average for a portion of fish and chips. They also sell canned drinks, hot sauces and bread rolls to go with your meal.

I have used this butchers to purchase all my meat for many years now and have always been pleased with how it tastes.
This is a butchers run by a family and has been since the beginning.
It’s not a big shop but has quite a good sized display cabinet that shows all the meat they have to sell.
This is all good priced too and they do have offers on from time to time. Their home made pies are also very tasty and have lots of filling in too not like some that you can buy from the supermarkets.
This shop also sells fruit and vegetable, fresh made breads and cakes, along with sauces that would accompany meats.
The family and other staff that work here are all very friendly when they serve you and can also give good tips about cooking.

I regularly visit this shop when I’ve ran out of items such as milk or bread. This is in the centre of the village and has a good variation of groceries, cleaning items and alcohol.
When I have been here there always seems to be a que at the checkout. I don’t know if it happens to be a slightly busier time of the day that more people tend to shop here, for example just before and after the schools finishes.
Some of the items here I have noticed to be slightly over priced compared to those found in a larger supermarket.
They do range a few extra special tasting foods such as desserts and cakes which always look very tempting.
The do have various offers on certain products which change weekly.
Staff that are employed here are friendly and helpful if it’s requested and I’ve never seen no more than three members of staff working at any time.
If coming to the shop travelling by car then you’ll have no problems parking as there is a large carpark a couple of minutes walk away.

This is quite a good sized shop which is located in the centre of Beccles. If sells all the usual stuff such as make up, deoderants, cleaning products, hair care, baby items such as nappies, toiletries, along with some gifts. This is often found to be cheaper on prices compared to boots.
Staff here are only a maximum of about 2 or 3 but all are happy and friendly.
Parking is good here but avoid coming here on Fridays due to the local market taking up many of the free car parking spaces.

This is a good sized Boots for the size of the town. They have a very good range of products including; cosmetics, fragrances, hair care, nappies, other baby items and gifts. They have a good selection of these nearer Christmas time and if they have not sold before christmas they then all go into the sales and these often end up at 75% off which is excellent.
This is often busy and the isles are not that wide and often feels more crowded than what it really is.
Staff are constantly on the checkout tills but there are not that many actually on the shop floor so if you do need help you have to look around for someone.
