What a great shop this is. Well worth supporting!
Not only is it the local Post Office but it's also a florist too.
The staff in the Post Office could not be more helpful, nothing is too much trouble. A genuine asset in the community I'm sure.
The florists also provides a great service. I ordered flowers for a family funeral and they were lovely, ready on time as promised and very reasonable as well.
Not exactly off the beaten track either. Head north out of Caversham and you can't miss it on the end of the parade.
Free parking too, always a bonus!

Il s'agit d'un grand magasin. Il mérite d'être soutenu! Pas seulement parce que c'est le bureau de poste local, mais c'est aussi un fleuriste. Le personnel de la Poste ne pourrait pas être plus éfficace, rien est un problème. Un véritable atout dans la communauté, j'en suis sûr. Les fleuristes fournit également un bon service. J'ai commandé des fleurs pour les funérailles de la famille et elles étaient belles, prêt dans les temps comme promis et très raisonnable. Pas tout à fait hors des sentiers battus. En direction du nord de Caversham et vous ne pouvez pas le manquer sur la fin de la route. Parking gratuit aussi, toujours un bonus!!!

A real delight. If you can't make your mind up whether to have a Chinese takeaway or fish and chips then why not come here and have a mixture of both?!
Always cooked up freshly, whether its the oil they cook it in or just because its so fresh, this is the nicest plaice from a takeaway I have ever tasted!
Service is prompt and friendly, worth diverting off the main road between Windsor and Old Windsor if you're feeling hungry.

Un vrai régal. Si vous ne pouvez pas faire votre choix, si vous voulez un chinois à emporter où un "fish and chips" alors pourquoi ne pas venir ici et avoir un mélange des deux?! Toujours fraîchement concocté, Ils le font cuire dans l'huile parce que c'est tellement frais, c'est le plus bon repas que j'ai jamais goûté! Le service est rapide et convivial, d'une valeur sur, situé sur la route principale entre Windsor et Old Windsor, si vous avez un petit creux.

What a great little store this is, punching well above its weight.
Located less than a mile from the Town Centre, with free parking at the back of the store off Vale Road or on street, its easy to get in and out of when you are in a hurry. Unlike Tesco!
For a smallish store it certainly has plenty of choice. I've never been unable to find what I want/need or a suitable alternative and whilst it might be classed as a convenience store you don't pay conveinience store prices as its part of a big group.
Their membership (loyalty) scheme is one of the best and can be paid straight into your bank account or you can opt for vouchers, or donate some or all of your 'Share of the profits' to community projects. No messing about with points or prizes!
I love the fact they were the first to promote Fairtrade and support green issues long before their rivals or before it became trendy. As a 'Member' you also get a real say on how the Co-op is run.
The store also has an off licence, lottery machine, pay point, sells newspapers etc.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what they sell. A real asset in the community!

This place was a lovely find. Great fresh food and real ale too!
Situated on the banks of the River Dee its set in a nice location in a beautiful part of the world.
The food is freshly cooked and the service is great and friendly. I recommend the fresh local salmon. The only down side is that it is a bit pricey but that is quite common for some reason when eating out in this part of Scotland.
There are many real ales to chose from and The Boat Inn is featured in the Good Beer Guide.
They also have rooms but as I didn't stay I have no idea what they are like.
Look out for the train, I won't spoil the surprise!!

Je suis sûre qu'en son temps, ça a probablement été un hôtel assez majestueux, mais bien qu'il y ait eu des travaux de rénovation en cours lorsque j'y étais, je pense qu'il en faudra un peu plus pour rendre au bâtiment sa splendeur d'antan. Le premier problème a été qu'à l'arrivée de notre groupe, on a dit à l'un d'entre nous qu'il n'avait pas de chambre, bien qu'on ait réservé deux mois à l'avance ! Ca n'a pas paru les troubler plus que ça, et quand on leur a demandé ce qu'il en était des 3 chambres qu'on avait annulé quelques jours auparavant, ils nous ont dit qu'elles étaient toutes prises. Leur attitude nous signifiait clairement d'aller chercher autre part, et comme la personne de la réception n'avait pas pris les réservations, elle s'en souciait comme d'une guigne. Quand on a suggéré que l'hôtel (comme c'était de leur faute) pourrait faire un effort pour nous trouver un autre endroit ou aller, on n'a rencontré qu'indifférence, mais au bout d'un moment il nous on proposé de nous fournir quelques numéros pour qu'ON appelle ! L'hôtel est dans un très vieux bâtiment et ça se voit. Ils ont fait des efforts pour se moderniser. Les chambres sont bien tenues et fonctionnelles, je pense que ça va pour une ou deux nuit mais pas plus. Les autres employés étaient un peu plus aimables. Le repas était correct et le service plutôt efficace. Il y a aussi un bar bien approvisionné. Pratique pour le théâtre j'imagine ?

What a great little business this is!
I badly needed a quality tarpaulin, what with the summer we are having. The last 2 I had bought which although they were cheap (around £4 each) I might as well have used newspaper!!
They do delivery nationwide but I decided to go and pick it up as its not too far away from me. The directions were spot on and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Their prices are very good as well.
Well worth stopping off if you need a tarpaulin or related product.

**This place is not in Hampshire, but in what used to be Middlesex. I think Ashford now comes under Surrey. The only other option for the south east was kent so I chose the Hants address which is closer. The postcode and everything else is correct. I will notify Qype of the problem**

What a great emporium this is!
What a refreshing change to find a shop that sells quality clothes and all of them made in Great Britain!
Whilst mostly being known as an outdoor clothing company they also sell a fine range of other clothes and footwear too for men women and children. Not the cheapest but the quality is outstanding.
I can personally vouch that their wax waterproof jackets are indeed very waterproof.
Whilst at a football match at Brighton and Hove Albions poor excuse for a stadium where on a foggy day you can’t see the pitch and a rainy one you are totally exposed to the elements, after a full 90 minutes, plus stopage time and walking to and from the ground from where I had parked the car, the body area that my jacket covered was totally dry!
I only wished that I had also had some of their trousers, boots, gloves, hat….
This is a family owned and run business and well worth supporting. All their garments are made at their factory in the North East not some far away sweatshop. This brand is very popular with tourists especially as members of the Royal Family are often filmed wearing their Barbours’ and Helen Mirren wore one in her portrayal of The Queen in the film by the same name.
The staff are very knowledgable, friendly and helpful and will do their best to order anything not in stock.
Well worth a visit whether a tourist or a local.

After an absence of more than 20 years, the sight of a KFC re-opening in Windsor was a very welcome one!
I do like KFC and would infrequently drive to Slough which was the nearest one, which was a a pain!
I have been here a few times now and the food is great, the premises are clean and the staff are pleasent. There are also tables and chairs in this shop so you can eat in as well.
Windsor is full of restaurants and take aways so there is always plenty of choice when it comes to eating out or take aways but with a brand name like KFC, you can’t really go wrong.
Parking is usually quite easy (and free in this part of town) if you have trouble just use the Co op car park which is behind both shops.
Highly recommend!
