when my mans working his last job in york, and i cannot be bothered to cook, we get our KFC fix from this branch, though there is nothing wrong with the food, but the annoying thing about this branch is the staff really cannot count, or be bothered to ensure orders are correctly assembled! we’ve had missing pieces of chicken, missing chicken wings etc all on different visits and as we live 25mins away and find out when we dish out at home, its very annoying.
yes we have rung them to informed them, got a luke warm reception an a kinda sorry, we’ll refund differance when you return etc but we don’t use this branch that often, possibly 2/3 times a year max
so its a case of 3 strikes and we are not going back for this KFC. the other KFC’s leeds and hull we have never had a problem with our orders

this is the 3rd car we have had from glenn garages, an they could not have been more helpful, again the reason we are sticking to this garage is the personal touches, clutch was going in car, informed them, they checked same day an told us to bring car in to be fixed, next day and gave my man use of a curtasy car. because of the nature of my mans job, we decided on a new car.

hand on heart i do not believe we would get this kind of service from any other garage. they always try and get us back on the road same day, if not have use of the curtasy car, keeping my man in work!

excellent service and great sales men! really helpfull, even after the sale! (most important)

we or should i say, my man brought a suzuki swift last year on a 57 plate, the car has been called back for minor adjustments, and has been back for its service twice (mans a driving instructor) and every time they’ve had the car ready as promised!

the only thing that they could do, is make the car run on air!

excellent service, car is always ready when promised. we’ve had no problems with the car, so that i think that speaks for the quality, as the car is used both for work and shopping trips, so its not treated as a little run about.
its driven often, and sometimes roughly by students.

do not have the steaks from here! portion size is small, steaks are thin, so asking for a medium steak would be impossible , with a small garnish of potatos

taste wise it was ok, was not worth asking price

place was busy, wine £14 a bottle nothing spectaular

would have been better if it stayed the HA bar, same lay out toilets up stairs

have not been back since, not even for a drink, there are normally discount vouchers for here on line, so if you are thinking of going, see if they have any current ones.

friend of ours had there wedding reception here in july 11, the lay out was fantastic, bar staff very speedy, as it was busy, the draw back was the price of drinks, large G&T and a pint cost my man just under a tenner!!!

we tried a little of the buffet and i have to admit, it was a good buffet!, not one brown edge on the salad leaves, the filo wrapped prawns where fantastic! there was a very nice selection, pasta salads, sandwiches etc, they also re freshed the dishes, so all the food was served at its best!

it was fiddly to get to, but nice parking area, so i would recomend this place for receptions of sorts, its also been recomended to us as a place to go to eat, and if the buffet was anything to go by, we’ll be making a trip out sometime soon :)

not sure what to make of this shop, i think its range of clothing, mostly club wear its not for me, but its lots of the same style synthetic dresses in different colours etc and to be honest tacky looking

i love shopping an browsing, but not in here, as the 1st floor, looks like the 2nd floor

and price wise for the clothing is good around £40 for a dress

really charming little shop, has the olde worlde apocrathy feel to it.

full of the little herbal treats for the skin and the nose (aromatherapy) and health suppliments

the skincare range i tried the Rejuvenating Night Cream is rather nice, and seems to work, will let you know in 5 years!

and the other products like shampoo’s, body lotions all smell fab and all natural products! like tha camomile spray for sun burn and insect bites

the staff really know there stuff and are very nice and chatty

don’t do the sunday dinner here, if your a sunday dinner fan!!! portions are a nice size, but for me it was just odd tasting??

but the thai food is out of this world!!! there is a beef dish served with crackers thats sooooo nice, i cannot remember the dishes name. but the thai food is better then even the sangthai in escrick

also i have noticed depending who makes the cocktail, will determin how it comes out, so techically no 2 cocktails are the same, even if they share a name!

outside seating area for us smokers is good, but you can and do get locked out if doors shut

there is a disabled toilet downstairs
and toilets up a set of rather rickety steps, strange sink set up not over clean or clean smelling, lacks toilet toll or hand towels at times

the reason we come here is just to see what parrot things there are, and its limited, they only stock seed diet mixes and toys are expensive and not they ones mine would play with

however if you have a dog, cat, hamster, rabbit etc then its a little haven for all there needs

and as for the fish?? its like 50/50 you get 2 on the offer price and 1 normally dies, so its like the gold fish you win at the fair, they do have a trplacement fish policy that last 7 days, but is it worth the petrol money to go an claim for the fish???

but the place always looks clean and animals cared for, or at least in a clean enviroment, the staff seem knowlegable on the animals needs and will stick to store policy on animal quarentine, before a sale can be made

i have been using this company to order my parrot food, since dec 2010! they have in stock most brands of pellets not availible at places like pets at home!!!

we modern parrot owners do not feed our birds just on a seeded diet!

we feed our birds pellets, fresh fruit and veg (except apple seeds, advacatdos and asparagus that canbe toxic to out birds) some seeds such as melon, pimpkin etc as a treat, there is a huge debate on seeded diet verses pellet diet, but every one agrees a varied diet is best for our birds!!

they have a huge range of all things birdy, toys, perches, supliments, cages, lighting and so on

also its worth checking the site out as it does have near dated stuff reduced, toys reduced etc

delivery is fast an i always have 3 emails when i place an order, one to confirm placing order, one to say order is in process and then finally order on its way, barring wkends an bank holidays once i get final email i know my order will arrive within the next 2 days most, P&P is about £4, standard delivery, so i feel that is very reasonable for the size and wieght of the packages i order

*please remember parrots can live 30yrs plus (up to 100!), vet fees are way to expensive and you reallty should see an avian vet, not a run of the mill dog an cat one. and toys need constant replacement! there cages need to be huge! the bigger the better! and they need out of cage time!

there child like behaviour can include child like tantrums, they can attack like eagles!
plucking is NOT always a sign of bordom.
if you are thinking of getting a parrot look at all the un-wanted ones on birdline or pre loved, hand reared means nothing in terms of parrot not biting and staying tame, as when these birds hit the teenage yrs they will rebel! and some rather dramatically

so please don’t ever get a parrot on a whim, a dog may have a miserable decade if with the wrong family, but a parrot will most probably out live you, even in misery. so you need to be commited for its life time an your children for when yours is over!

i do not mean to cast a negative view on any1 wanting a parrot, only that they need to be sure, if it has behaviours you don’t like, it could continue for its life time, so why increase the numbers of unwanted birds, creating a problem for some1 else??
