This is a must for any football fan. No matter who you support, the triumphant and tragic history of the club makes for fascinating reading/viewing as you go round the museum.
If you have time to do the stadium tour as well, this is well worth it. It is very thorough and unlike other stadium tours I have been on (Bernabeu, Nou Camp etc.) you are taken round by a personal tour guide (and not made to feel your own way round with the “help” of signage). The guide we had was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and seemed to love his job!
Of course the icing on the cake would be too watch a live match. Sadly, tickets for Man United are hard to come by but try going through their official travel partner, Travelcare Sports, as they sometimes do deals which include a hotel and match tickets.
Otherwise just stop by the Red Cafe on your way home for a Beckham Burger!!
sarah1980 Huntriss - I am not a Man U fan, so less of the “you” please!! ;-) Just a footie fan, and I’m only commenting on the stadium which I’ve been to many times - I take no responsibility for the lack of atmosphere on matchdays!! (that said I was at the Barcelona game earlier this season and it was unreal)
