I normally don’t say much, but the review which says the food is expensive is wrong. Expensive is when you pay lots and get small low quality cheap cuts of meat and little veg. Main coarses are about £11.50, which I consider fantastic value. If you compare this to other pubs where we have paid £8.95 and had a couple of slices of fatty meat and hard nearly uncooked veg, I would rather pay the little extra and have a superior meal in excellent surrounds, try it for yourself, but remeber to book as it is very popular, must be the good food
